• COMMLab ​​​

  • The focus of COMMLab was to put out consistent video work for clients. Throughout​ the semester, my group completed three projects together for our clients. They consisted of a news package, four music videos, and a promotional video for a new building on campus. The four music videos lead to me getting the opportunity to do freelance work with the same client for additional videos. This class gave the myself and my peers a peek into the professional world when it comes to doing freelance video jobs. 

• COMM410 - Digital and social media Technology

  • This class focused on our blog that we developed and worked on throughout the entire semester. Although I started my podcast two weeks before this class started, the class helped me to create and curate content in the gaming scene at a much higher volume. Without this class, I would not have had as much exposure to my podcast and Twitter profile specifically. I ultimately landed my job at VaynerSports because of the blog I had in this class. 

• COMM 355 - Media Production​

  • Media production was my second editing class at Longwood University. The most significant benefit of this class was the importance that the professor placed on planning your video projects as much as you could. I worked with some of the same group members that I had worked with in 240, and made more videos to be proud of at the time.

• COMM 305 - Building Your Professional Brand​

  • This class was the beginning of me building my LinkedIn profile and truly building my professional self. The main focus of this class was to build our LinkedIn profiles, connect with people in our dream fields, and discuss among the class what was working for us. This class allowed me to reach out to Longwood alum and get more perspective on their journey since graduating and apply their advice to my own path. 

• COMM 240 - Intro to Digital Editing​

  • COMM 240 was my first video editing class at Longwood University. The main focus of this particular class was to allow the students to create a variety of content including short podcasts, music videos, and finally a short film. This was my first experience in working with a team while creating videos, and it was a great introduction to Longwood for me. ​
